FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
How do I adopt a pet?
Please see our adoption process and online application to get started! After we receive your application, we will work with you to schedule a home visit. Once completed and passed, we will arrange the best time and date for you to pick up your new pet.
Please note, completing an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.
How much does it cost to adopt?
There is a $100 adoption fee, which helps cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick, and any other medical attention the animal needed when it was rescued. This fee helps us continue our work to save other animals.
Is this specific animal still available for adoption?
The best way to check on the status of a specific pet is to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call us at (718) 948-5623 on Monday through Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.
What are you looking for during a home visit?
The safety of the animal is our highest priority, so we are mostly checking for a safe environment by looking for things like exterior doors that do not completely close or torn or missing window screens.
